Terms and conditions

IN THE INTERESTS OF SAFETY AT SEA AND FOR THE COMFORT OF ALL PASSENGERS,  OPAL SHELL IS  NON SMOKING BELOW DECK

Booking:

Booking is confirmed with lodgement and acceptance of a completed booking form with 20% non refundable deposit.  The balance is payable no later than 60 days prior to departure. Payment can be made by bank deposit or cheque. To keep our prices at a minimum level we no longer accept credit card payment.

Cancellation:

The non-refundable 20% deposit is forfeited on cancellation.  Cancellations within 60 days of departure will forfeit the total amount of the booking.  Where a passenger(s) does not arrive and no cancellation has been received, then the total value of the booking is forfeited to Opal Shell Charters.  If circumstances require Opal Shell Charters to cancel a cruise, as much notice as possible will be given.  No liability, however, will fall on Opal Shell Charters for any expenses incurred as a result of the cruise cancellation save the refunding of monies already paid towards that cruise.

Insurance:           

Opal Shell Chaters is not liable for loss of, or damage to, baggage and personal property.  It is recommended that comprehensive travel insurance, including cancellation cover, changing connecting flights and evacuation insurance, be taken out at the time of the initial booking.

Liability:

It is expected that all passengers are aware that due to the conditions in and the remoteness of the Kimberley region, they at some point during the cruise may face physical discomfort and the possibility of danger and accept this as the nature of the cruise. Cruise itinerary may also change according to weather condtions.

Opal Shell Charters undertake to provide all due care during the cruise and provide every possible safety precaution but the ultimate responsibility for illness, accident or death, or any property damage or loss, including valuables, lies with the passenger.

Opal Shell Charters is not responsible for other carriers whose actions may result in passengers failing to meet the conditions set down for any  Opal Shell Charters cruise.
